MOTify ("the app") is developed by Osirisborn Studio. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and your rights.

Information We Collect

MOTify does not collect, transmit, or store any personally identifiable information on external servers.

• Vehicle registration plates — entered by you and stored locally on your device only. They are sent to the DVSA API solely to retrieve MOT data for that vehicle.
• MOT data — retrieved from the official DVSA API and cached locally on your device.
• Notification preferences — stored locally on your device.

No data is shared with third parties beyond the DVSA API request required to look up MOT information.

DVSA API

MOT history lookups use the UK Government's DVSA MOT History API. By using MOTify, you agree to the DVSA API terms of service. Registration plates sent to this API are subject to DVSA's own privacy policy.

Permissions

• Internet — required to fetch MOT data from the DVSA API.
• Notifications — used to send MOT expiry reminders. You can disable these at any time in your device settings.
• Exact alarm — used to schedule reminder notifications at precise times.

Data Storage

All app data is stored locally on your device using SQLite. Uninstalling the app removes all data. No backups are made to any server.

Children

MOTify is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date.
