EverCount — Privacy Policy

The short version

EverCount collects no personal data. Everything stays on your device. No analytics, no tracking, no advertising, no servers we control. We genuinely cannot see what events you create, what photos you pick, or how you use the app.

What stays on your device

• Your events (titles, dates, categories, accent colours, theme picks) — stored in the app's local database.
• Your photo backgrounds — copied from your gallery into the app's private file storage. They never leave your device.
• Your settings (haptics, reduced motion, default milestones, premium status) — stored in the app's local preferences.
• JSON backups — created only when you tap "Export" in Settings. They go where you choose (your Downloads folder, Google Drive, etc.). EverCount itself never reads or transmits them.

Third parties

EverCount uses these Google services as part of normal Android app operation:

• Google Play Billing — only used when you tap "Unlock Premium." Google receives the purchase request and confirms it. We receive a one-time purchase token saying "this user paid." We do not see your payment details.
• Google Fonts (downloadable) — Sora and Inter typefaces are downloaded once and cached on your device. Google's font provider receives the font name request. No personal data is shared.
• Google Play Services — required by the Android OS itself. EverCount does not integrate with Play Services beyond what Android needs to run apps.

That is the complete list. There is no Firebase, no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no ad network, no cross-device sync, no cloud backup tied to your EverCount account (because there is no EverCount account).

Permissions we ask for

• POST_NOTIFICATIONS — to send the milestone alerts you configure (30 days out, 7 days out, etc.). You can revoke this any time in Android Settings.
• READ_MEDIA_IMAGES — only when you tap "Use your own photo" to pick a background image. We use Android's Photo Picker; the app only receives the single image you select, never broader gallery access.
• VIBRATE — to play haptic patterns when a milestone fires.
• SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM — to fire your milestone notifications at the exact times you set (rather than whenever Android batches background work).

Children

EverCount has no age-restricted content and no social features. The app is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone (children included), because we do not collect anything at all.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of EverCount ever adds a feature that touches data we don't currently touch (e.g. optional cloud sync), this page will be updated before the feature ships, and the updated version will appear in the app's release notes. The current commitment is that we don't have any plans to do so.
